Last week we talked about challenging yourself to do something different to add to your exercise routine! I certainly hope you were able to incorporate that into your habit - change is good! This week we are talking about rest. Adding a rest day to our habits is essential to our growth. Do not feel guilty about that - it is healthy! Matthew 11:28 says,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

As 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 says, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” Challenge yourself to strengthen your body, mind, and spirit!

Kennedy Horn grew up playing C-Sports and then came back to coach for several years. She has carried her devotion to her sport and her faith to the college level. She is currently a sophomore at The University of William Carey and is a scholarship athlete who plays on both the indoor and beach volleyball teams. In this environment where we may start feeling the walls caving in, many of us are searching for many ways to cope. Maintaining our spiritual fitness is most important but also taking care of our bodies so that we are healthy in all ways is vital. Continue to reach out and encourage one another and stay motivated to get outdoors and exercise (or indoors if it rains)! We've all heard of the saying, "We're in the home stretch!" - well, we may not know if we are or not at the moment with this COVID-19 but we can definitely treat each days as if we were. Let's get up and go!

Dear C-Sports Families,
Each week we are seeking new ways to stay connected with all of our C-Sports families. We certainly hope these devotions and videos are helpful. We are all anxiously awaiting news of when we can resume what we considered to be our normal lives.
We want you to know we are regularly working on how we can manage the future of the 2020 T-ball/baseball/softball season. Our hopes are that when we are able to gather again in large groups, we can continue with as much of the season as possible, including into the summer months. We were also hopeful that we would be able to have the summer flag football season but will most likely forego that in order to provide as much of a T-ball/baseball/softball season to our current participants. Those are our hopes although it is with an unknown timeline.
Please be in prayer that we will be able to move forward with these hopes. As always, we will keep you updated on any new information as it comes available.
C-Sports coaches and parents, please click on the video links and share with your T-ball, baseball & softball players. Share the message of the weekly devotion and also try to get them outside and work on the drills a few times this week.
