Matthew 5:45 tells us, “He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” We witnessed that this past week. Thank you for being patient with us. We all, especially Mrs. Rose, do all we can to get games and practices in. It’s my understanding that she will be allowing some make-up games this week for those who want it.

Please remember this week to get your Christ United at the BayBears tickets (see attached picture)! This is always a big and exciting event for players and parents. We need to get rid of all of the tickets we have so that I have time to go get more for all of the late comers the next week!! Also, please be encouraging your families to plan to attend the C-Sports Baseball Celebration in our gym on Sunday, April 29, at 3:00pm. They need to be here by 2:45pm to fill out response cards and find a seat!

My daughter-in-law is a Speech Pathologist in our Mobile Public School system. Right before Easter and Spring Break one of her students gave her a gift. It was a large coffee cup with words from one of our favorite songs, Jesus Loves Me, only the words on this cup said, JESUS KNOWS ME, THIS I LOVE. She, along with everyone she has shown it to or told about it, was very moved by the message in those words. She was inspired by a child who sensed her faith. Do the players you are leading sense your faith? Do they see in you a spiritual mentor; an example of what they should grow up to be? That’s what we are looking for. In order to lead we must show that we follow! When Jesus, God in the flesh, knelt down to wash the feet of the disciples He meant that as a lesson for us. We are to love with His heart, see with His eyes, and serve with His hands.

Thank you all for everything you do to make this ministry effective. I hope we have some sunshine while we spread the “Sonshine” this week. Keep your phones handy!
